Kusudi La is a registered non-profit. Each year, we identify beneficiaries and projects aligned to our purpose to benefit from our fundraising. By participating in our purposeful adventures, climbers directly contribute to the important work of these beneficiaries.

We are a non-profit registered in South Africa that raises funds for animal welfare, wildlife conservation and communities along our journey.

Funds Raised

Our founders have raised more than ZAR 2,87 million through the Kilimanjaro Adventure. We want to make an impact across South Africa. Please sign up to become a beneficiary.

Beneficiaries

2025: We had much to celebrate: USD 20,000 raised for the Sandton SPCA; USD 5,000 donated to the Johannesburg Wildlife Vet; ⁠USD 1,500 for Helping Street Animals in Morocco; ⁠USD 1,500 for Marimeni Primary School in Tanzania; and ⁠USD 1,200 donated to Richmond Animal Welfare for 90 sterilisations.

2024: Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital – We raised ZAR 100,000 for the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of pangolins, the most trafficked mammal in the world.

Richmond Animal Welfare & Recycling – This is an ongoing multi-year project to eradicate unwanted and abandoned animals, with USD 1,200 raised in 2025 for 90 sterilisations.

2023: Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital – We raised ZAR 135,000 to build a High Care Reptile Enclosure for Joburg Wildlife Vet.

Richmond Animal Welfare & Recycling: We raised ZAR 100,000 to establish a clinic that offers primary healthcare for domestic animals and will support our campaign to stop uncontrolled breeding and unwanted animals.

2022: Johannesburg SPCA and Sandton SPCA (we raised ZAR 111 000 for each organisation for their outreach and sterilisation programmes).
