Become a Purposeful Adventurer & Hiking Club Member

We offer twice-monthly hikes on alternate Saturdays and Sundays in the Gauteng area, with overnight hiking adventures for the ultimate getaway! Members of our Kilimanjaro and Morocco adventures join for free but must complete the application form below, including the release and indemnity.

Student Membership and Fees

Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of application and receipt of
successful payment of the relevant fees:

Student Membership: R250

Kilimanjaro & Morocco Expedition Members & their Families: Free for the year of
expedition!

Your Privacy

We shall use your details to share information about our adventures and hikes by
email and newsletter.
We use a WhatsApp group to communicate with members about upcoming hikes
and adventures. You can ask to be removed from our email database or leave our
WhatsApp group at any time.
We ask for emergency contact information, medical aid details and any health
concerns we should be aware of so that we have this information in the event you
become ill or are injured during any of our activities.
Your personal information will not be shared with third parties (apart from your
phone number which is on the WhatsApp group). We ask that you update your
details as necessary; in particular, emergency and health information.

Your Risk & Our Indemnity

You are required to accept the terms and conditions below. Please read them carefully as
they set out the risk you accept in joining our Club and indemnify Kusudi La NPC and others
in respect of any injury, loss or damage.

Release & Indemnity - Important Legal Stuff

“You” means you, the adventurer, and “Kusudi La” means Kusudi La NPC, the organiser.
You agree to participate in the activities of Kusudi La at your own risk. This means that you agree that you will not have any claims against Kusudi La, its directors, officers, representatives (including any hike co-ordinator appointed by Kusudi La), sponsors or land owners and indemnify Kusudi La and the other parties listed here against any claims for injury, loss or damage to your person or property arising in connection with Kusudi La’s activities. This release and indemnity applies regardless of any negligence (including gross negligence).
You declare that you are physically fit and healthy to undertake the activities.
You confirm that you understand and accept the risks associated with the hiking and adventure activities offered by Kusudi La.
We publish scheduled hikes together with hike distances and our estimation of the hike difficulty. You acknowledge that routes may be changed because of weather, manmade obstacles or other causes.
Carpooling to activities is a common practice. If you choose to carpool, this is at your own risk, whether you are the driver or a passenger.
You undertake to comply with all venue-specific regulations and conditions and to comply with any guidelines provided by the hike co-ordinator.
You acknowledge that entrance fees for hiking venues or other costs are not included in the membership fee.
You accept responsibility for and indemnify Kusudi La and all other persons listed in 1 above in respect of any accompanying minor children (under the age of 18).
You consent to Kusudi La sharing photos and videos of the activities (including images of participants) on social media and in marketing materials.
You agree to receive communications from us in connection with our activities. We will not share your details with third parties. You may unsubscribe from communications at any time.
