The Sandton SPCA’s clinic kennels are where healing begins — for abandoned, injured, and rescued animals. But they need critical upgrades to meet demand and provide dignity and care. With your help, we can raise R400 000 | $25 000 to rebuild the kennels into spaces of hope and recovery.
From Alexandra to the Summit of Africa
In 2012, Troy met the Sandton SPCA at a Mobile Clinic Day in Alexandra. That single encounter changed his life — sparking a passion for animals that has guided him since. Now, he’s preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the very animals who gave him purpose. His summit is a tribute to them — and your donation helps carry him there.
Stitched with Purpose
One crisp Johannesburg morning, our Hiking Champion Jennie Ashwal met Catherine, who was quietly selling her beautiful crocheted animal toys to support herself and her family.
She learned that Catherine had lost an eye to cancer in 2014, learned to crochet toys in 2018 and launched her business selling toys in 2019. Inspired by her skill, spirit, and story, we asked her to create something special for Kusudi La — and the mini-Tanzi was born.
Our mascot, “Big” Tanzi, will embark on her 6th Kilimanjaro climb from 19-27 July. She will join our team of Kusudi La purposeful adventurers as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime, making an impact one step at a time.
